Mounting Motors

CLASS

Intro to Fabrication

For this week the assignment was to mount a motor so I decided to use a motor I have never used, a stepper. For the base and the support of the motor I wanted to use the crappy wood I got for my first project and I did not use. In this case, it would be ok to work with because it was needed just to hold the motor and pieces. Cutting the wood. To attach the motor to the wood a used the Stepper… [read more →]

Two Materials

CLASS

Intro to Fabrication

This has been the most complicated assignment for me during the Intro to Fabrication class. We had to make anything using two materials besides plywood and acrylic. ICM AND PCOMM FINAL (WIP)

CLASS

Intro to Computational Media,Intro to Physical Computing

I like to collect images, either from the internet or scan them. This project is meant to be a tool for me. A tool to help me create and design new images based on the ones I have plus shapes made from random users. Something like an interactive digital collage. The context of this tool should be on an exhibition where the visitor could play with the device while they are creating new images. The… [read more →]

Multiples

CLASS

Intro to Fabrication

This week the assignment for Intro to fabrication was to make multiples of one thing. Although I learned and used for the first time a couple of new tools this assignment was a totally fail for me. Problem #1: Too much time thinking what to do. Fabrications require time management and organization. At this exercise, and maybe the first one, I've been taking the final decision to close to the… [read more →]

PCOMM FINAL (First Idea)

The main idea is to build a small memory game that wakes you up with a new drawing every morning each day. At night, before going to bed, the game is trying to remember today drawing.
